About us
The MedTech Innovation and Education Centre of Óbuda University provides a realistic clinical environment for the development of healthcare technologies. With a modern operating theatre and intensive care and IT infrastructure, it supports the testing and validation of medical devices and the preparation for their market launch.
The centre offers close cooperation between the university knowledge base, industry players and the healthcare sector in order to refine prototypes.
The laboratory not only supports research and development, but also plays a key role in training the professionals of the future and in meeting international quality standards.
Our projects
Projects and services that can be launched across nine core areas of medical technology – from device development to clinical validation and regulatory compliance.
-

Device development and engineering support
The purpose of this area is to provide the engineering foundation for healthcare and medical device development, from prototyping to infrastructure design.
-

Software development and digital solutions
Development of modern software, embedded and digital systems that support healthcare processes.
-

Healthcare artificial intelligence (AI)
Solutions built on artificial intelligence make it possible to process health data more efficiently, to support decision making and to improve care processes.
-

Testing and validation preparation
The aim of testing and validation preparation is to make the operation, safety and integrability of devices and software under development properly verifiable.
-

Usability and UX studies
Usability and user experience studies help to make healthcare devices and systems easy to operate, ergonomic and efficient for their users.
-

Medical data analysis and digital biomarkers
This area is built on the processing, interpretation and practical use of data from health records, biosignals and digital sources.
-

Lab as a Service (LaaS) and education
The aim of the lab as a service and education activities is to provide access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and to support the practical training of healthcare professionals.
-

Clinical validation and research support
Clinical validation and research support services help to establish the scientific, methodological and documentary foundations of a development project.
-

Regulatory support
The aim of regulatory support is to make medical device and healthcare developments compliant with the relevant national and European requirements.
